Apprenticeship Program

Hayes & Lunsford provides the apprenticeship program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical College free to our employees to train for a strong future workforce.

Unlike traditional college an apprentice can earn from $50,000 to 120,000 over the four year training period, and then graduate to enter the job market as a journeyman electrician.

Over this four year period the program requires 8000 hours of on-the-job training and around 1000 hours of classroom time.

It's your future and utilizing the resources provided to you is just smart. Once you have achieved your journeyman card, it's yours to classify you as a journeyman for whomever you choose to work for.
